Online speech therapy, made simple
No waiting rooms, no long waitlists, no guesswork. From your first hello to your child's first wins, here's exactly what working with Bloom looks like.
Five steps from first call to real progress
Every family follows the same friendly path. We handle the paperwork so you can focus on your child.
Book a free consult
Tell us about your child in a relaxed, no-pressure call. We listen to your concerns, talk through what you're seeing at home, and answer every question about online therapy, scheduling, and cost. There is no waitlist, so you can usually get on the calendar right away.
We verify your SC Medicaid or insurance
Before anything begins, we check your South Carolina Medicaid or private plan and confirm your coverage in plain language. You'll know what's covered and what to expect up front, so there are no surprises. Most families pay little to nothing out of pocket.
Comprehensive evaluation and personalized plan
Ms. Courtney completes a thorough virtual evaluation of your child's speech and language skills. From there she builds an individualized, goal-based therapy plan that's tailored to your child's strengths, the sounds and words they're working toward, and the things you care about most as a family.
Weekly 1:1 online sessions plus parent coaching
Your child meets one-on-one with Ms. Courtney each week for fun, interactive, play-based sessions. You're welcome to stay in the session, and we coach you on simple ways to practice between visits so progress keeps building at home, not just on screen.
Track progress and celebrate wins
Therapy at Bloom is data-driven. We run about five trials per goal each session and track your child's accuracy over time, so growth shows up as real percentages, not guesses. You'll see clear progress, and we celebrate every milestone together.
What a session actually looks like
Bloom sessions are warm, playful, and built around your child. Here's the flow Ms. Courtney uses to keep kids engaged from start to finish.
- Start with a song to get your child engaged and comfortable
- Work on 2 to 3 individualized goals through playful, hands-on trials
- End with a reward your child picks: read a book, play a game, or listen to a song
- Finish with a quick parent check-in and feedback so you know what we worked on

What you need to get started
No special equipment, no complicated software. If your child can watch a video, you already have everything you need.
Any device
A tablet, laptop, Chromebook, or desktop with a camera works perfectly. We'll send a simple link to join, so there's nothing to download or set up ahead of time.
A quiet spot
A calm, low-distraction corner helps your child focus and hear clearly. It doesn't need to be fancy, just a comfortable place where they can be themselves.
A caregiver nearby
An adult close by helps younger children stay settled and supports those special at-home practice moments. Being part of the session is one of the biggest drivers of progress.
Common questions about telehealth
Does telehealth really work for kids?
Yes. Children make real, measurable progress online, often more than in crowded group settings, because they get focused 1:1 attention and engaging, screen-friendly activities they genuinely enjoy. Many kids find the games, songs, and interactive tools even more motivating than a traditional table-top session.
What technology do I need?
Just a device with a camera and a reliable internet connection. A tablet, laptop, Chromebook, or desktop all work. We send you a simple link to click, so there is nothing to install. If you ever run into a tech hiccup, we'll help you sort it out.
How long is each session?
Sessions are typically scheduled weekly and sized to fit your child's age and attention span, with a song to start, focused goal work in the middle, and a reward at the end. We'll recommend a length and frequency during your evaluation based on your child's needs and plan.
Do I need to sit in the whole time?
We hope you'll be nearby, especially for younger children. You're always welcome in the session, and the parent check-in at the end helps you carry simple practice into everyday routines so progress doesn't stop when the call ends.
